The Beliefs of the Shi'ites Regarding Prophethood Attack On Khatm-e-Nabuwwah: It is a basic belief of every muslim that there is no-one who shares the stage, status and sifaat (attributes) of the nubuwwah of the Rasool of Allah, Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam. The shia believe that the twelwe imams enjoy the same status of Allah's Rasool, Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam. i.e., that they are sent by Allah and are masoom (sinless); they have the same status as the Rasools who recieve revelation and a Kitaab (book); they have full authority regarding halad and haram; in the same way that those who reject the Nabi and and their Shariah are non-believers, in the same manner, those who do not accept their imaams are also kafirs (non-believers).___[Usol-e-Kafi, Kitabul Hujjah, page 225, vol.1]. Imam Jafar states: "I take that shariah that Ali has brought. The things that he prohibits I say away from. He has attained the same excellence and eminence was attained by the subsequent eleven imaams, one after the other." (Ma'aadhallah).
"Certainly Allah does not disdain from giving a parable of a gnat or something larger." Allamah Ali ibn Ibrahim explains that by the word "gnat" Allah refers to Ameerul Mumineen (Ali) and by the words "or something larger" He means the Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam). (AI-Qummi: 19)
[Mu'tah is to marry someone for a short period of time (temporary marriage). In this marriage, the woman does not hold the status of a wife. Mut'ah is permissible and virtuous in Shi'ite law but forbidden and sinful in Sunni law.]
